    Schnitzlers Traumnovelle<\/em> erz\u00e4hlt von den sonderbaren und erotisch aufgeladenen Geschehnissen, die dem Arzt Fridolin und seiner Frau Albertine widerfahren. Phantastisch und traumhaft beschreibt er die Entdeckung ihrer bisher verborgenen Begierden und ihres wahren Selbst. Jakob Hinrichs interpretiert die Novelle erstmals als Graphic Novel. Dabei l\u00f6st er die Zeitgebundenheit der Geschichte gekonnt auf, so dass die Grenzen zwischen Traumwelt und Realit\u00e4t verschwimmen. Seine Bilder fangen die bizarre und aufgew\u00fchlte Stimmung von Schnitzlers Novelle wunderbar ein.<\/p>

    Fridolin streift nachts ziellos durch die Stra\u00dfen Wiens und erf\u00e4hrt zuf\u00e4llig von einem geheimen Maskenball. Er besorgt sich ein M\u00f6nchskost\u00fcm und begibt sich dorthin. Eine maskierte Frau warnt ihn schon bald nach seiner Ankunft und mahnt ihn, schnell zu verschwinden. Doch Fridolin ist entschlossen zu bleiben, fasziniert von dem wilden und bizarren n\u00e4chtlichen Treiben … Er ger\u00e4t in einen Strudel aus Erotik, Gefahr, Phantasie und Illusion. Auch seine Frau entdeckt in sich geheime Leidenschaften, die sich die beiden schlie\u00dflich eingestehen. Phantastisch und traumhaft beschreibt Schnitzler die Entdeckung ihrer bisher verborgenen Begierden, die aus ihrem Unterbewusstsein hervortreten, und ihres wahren Selbst. Die Kraft des Unbewussten bannte zuletzt Stanley Kubrick in Eyes wide shut<\/em> auf die Leinwand. Er versetzte die Handlung ins heutige New York und unterstrich die Zeitlosigkeit der Novelle.<\/p>

    Jakob Hinrichs l\u00f6st die Geschichte ebenfalls aus ihrer Entstehungszeit: es gibt Referenzen zur Gegenwart, zur Science-Fiction, aber auch zum Beginn des letzten Jahrhunderts. Hinrichs Graphic Novel ist von schr\u00e4gen und seltsamen Charakteren bev\u00f6lkert, lediglich Fridolin und Albertine sind Menschen. Seine Bilder, in denen die Grenzen von Traum und Realit\u00e4t verschwimmen, fangen die surreale Stimmung der beiden Protagonisten gekonnt ein. Hinrichs weicht dabei vom Originaltext ab und l\u00e4sst seine Bilder wirken. Mit seiner Graphic Novel gelingt ihm eine Interpretation, die in einem Spannungsverh\u00e4ltnis zum Original steht und es trotzdem vollst\u00e4ndig erz\u00e4hlt.
